This Sunday, our church family set aside our usual rhythm for Prayer Sunday, intentionally seeking the Lord together through worship, Scripture, confession, Communion, and guided prayer. Opening Luke 10, Pastor Sam reminded us that before Jesus told His followers to "go," He first told them to pray. Prayer is not simply preparation for ministry—it is the power that fuels it.

Together, we prayed through each step of our Discipleship Pathway, asking God to deepen our worship, strengthen authentic community, grow hearts that joyfully serve others, and raise up disciple-makers for His harvest. We were reminded that Jesus modeled this dependence throughout His ministry, consistently turning to prayer before every significant step. Our hope is that First McKinney will continue to be a church that prays consistently, dependently, specifically, and expectantly, trusting that God alone changes hearts, builds His Church, and empowers His people to live and love like Jesus every day.
