Executive Committee

A Counsel of Leadership at first McKinney

First McKinney operates under a staff-led, congregationally-directed model. The Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor provide leadership and oversee church functions, while the Executive Committee offers guidance on business matters.

The Executive Committee consists of nine members, each serving a three-year term. Their terms are staggered, with three members rotating off and new members joining each year. Church members are actively involved in this process as they nominate candidates and vote on the final slate of nominees annually.

Hunter Heinrich

I am 33 years old and spent my childhood in Gunter, north of McKinney. I accepted Christ and was baptized when I was 7 years old at the First Baptist Church in Gunter. After high school, I attended Oklahoma State University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture. I married Lexi in 2016, and we have two amazing children, Holland (6) and Hudson (3).

My family and I have been members of the First McKinney Church family since 2017. While at First McKinney, I have served as a deacon, usher captain, and chair/member of the Nominating Committee. I have also helped with various children’s and youth events from teaching Kindergarten to DNOW. Lexi and I are active members of our LifeGroup. I have a deep love for Jesus and a heart for serving others. I am passionate about investing in the church community and am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the leadership at First McKinney.

Curtis and I have been married for 30 years and have 3 amazing daughters. We’ve been at First McKinney for 23 of those years and were blessed to raise our girls here. My service at First McKinney follows their paths….when they were in children’s, I served as a classroom teacher, Vacation Bible School turned Backyard Bible Club leader, and had so much fun at children's camps when we would go overnight for an entire week! I followed them to youth and led small groups, hosted DNOW, sweated through Trailblazers, went to a few Xtreme Camps, and hosted seniors in our backyard for a weekly Bible study taught by Curtis in each of their senior years.

I’ve participated and been blessed by countless women’s Bible studies, an “old” mom in MOPS, and we were a mentor couple in Marriage Core. The last several years, I’ve loved being a greeter for our welcome team and am excited to see what my next season in church will be, and am honored to serve on the executive committee.

Cindy Turner

I was fortunate to grow up in a Christian home where both my parents were faithful and active believers. I always knew the truth of the Gospel and that God saw me as I was and loved me. But it was at Vacation Bible School, when I was nine, that I finally understood I had to make my faith my own. I became a Christian that summer and was later baptized.

I have been married to my husband, Robert, for more than 30 years, and together we have four adult daughters (Caroline, Leah, Emily, and Ashley) and two sons-in-law (Garret and Jesse). Over the course of our marriage, we have served in high school, college, and young adult ministries and were missionaries in Western Europe for seven years. I am currently serving on the Mission Leadership Team at First McKinney, and I’m also a mentor mom in MomCo. Previously, I served on the Finance Committee, where I was the chairperson my third and final year.
