The Book of Revelation is not primarily about the Antichrist or end-times timelines. It is an unveiling of Jesus Christ. Revelation chapter one presents three dimensions of who Jesus is: the redeeming Jesus who suffered and died for our sins, the returning Jesus who will come back in unmistakable glory, and the reigning Jesus who is actively present and sovereign right now. When John received his vision on the island of Patmos, he saw a glorified, all-powerful King walking among His people. Jesus holds the keys to death and Hades, meaning He has authority over every hard thing we face. Whatever feels out of control in your life, Jesus is still reigning over it.
