As Lead Pastor, Sam is responsible for the ministry of God’s Word and for the vision of the church. Sam tries to teach the Bible in an authentic way, allowing others to see clearly what it says, understand what it means and apply it to their lives. He invests his time in small reproducing discipleship groups. Sam is crazy about his wife, Rebecca, who serves as a Physician’s Assistant in pediatric neurology at Scottish Rite Hospital. They have two creative and fun girls – Anna and Ellie.

Before serving at First McKinney Sam worked at Pine Cove Camps and Park Cities Baptist Church. He believes that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only life-transforming message worth dying for.
